What is your Community Services Department doing?

March 2007 numbers

237 low income families were served. This represents 1022 individuals. $11,576.00 worth of food was distributed. 2,190 items of clothing were given.

Special projects

Learning English: Your Community Services Department is currently partnering with the Alvord Unified School District in an English language program. If any of our Spanish speaking clients complete an English speaking program with the Alvord Unified School District, they will receive a voucher enabling them to obtain $50.00 worth of clothing.

Financial Planning: We are currently surveying our clients to see if there is interest in participating in a personal financial planning workshop. There are members of our church who have indicated willingness to design and present such a workshop. Attendees will qualify for clothing vouchers.
